Nature Drives

Our Nature Drives are somewhat different to the usual Big Five Game Drive.  At African Game Lodge, we're also interested in the little furry creatures, the signs of the wild and the interesting vegetation, geology and flora in the area.

So come prepared to get out the vehicle and take a walk along the river bed, or stop on the side of the track to photograph the spoor of a leopard that passed through the reserve in the night. Game that you might see on the Nature Drive include Eland, Springbok, Klipspringer, Gemsbok and duiker.  There are always a large selection of birds who frequent the reserve, much to the delight of the bird spotters who can help us add to our Bird List that we are compiling.

We will also see evidence of land disturbance and how nature goes about restoring the balance. Our Nature Drives are relaxed, educational, and allow you to see nature as it was meant to be.
